Everton pick up three points

Everton secrued there first away win of the season against West Brom. After losing at home to Blackburn The Blues were really fired up and rearing to go.The game got off to a lively start with both team`s in full swing.Wasnt much luck to for either side as the first half finished 0-0.

Second half saw one change in the Everton squad 16 year old baxter came off for Leon Osman this made all the difference as was Osman who got the first Everton goal when he played a nice one-two and a little dribble to put it by the England international Carson. With only one goal between the team`s both teams were attacking in full flow and it was West Brom who were to make the next move with Everton not been able to keep the pressure of themself Neville handballed the ball in the box which gave West Brom a easy chance to make it 1-1 and Bednar done it with ease. But Everton came back fighting with a second goal to secure all 3 points with a ball put over the top and Carson not knowing weather to come or go yakubu just lifted over him.

Everton manager David Moyes was happy with the team work and the result but did state they will need to work harder if they want to get that kind of result against stronger team`s.Asked in the interview weather there was any luck in the transfer window Moyes stated that they were still looking and will continue looking and trying until the last day of the season.

Jagielka Speaks Out "Most Get Of To Good Start"

Everton begin the new campain on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers.Defender Phil Jagielka reckons the blues need to get off to a good start. With the Ewood Park side losing one of there key players to Spurs[Bentley]and a new manager coming into play aswell its going to be in Everton favour on Saturday but you can never rule out the Lancashire Club.

This season campain will begin with Blackburn at home,West Brom away and Portsmouth at home,Everton will be looking to get all nine if not seven points out of them three games. Also with Everton not meeting any of the top four until the 27th of September when the play Liverpool in the local Derby they will be looking to take advantage of this to get off to a good start and a early lead hopefully.

With Everton`s low squad numbers this year so far..and injurys to the squad Jagielka might see himself pushing a bit further fowards this year and playing a role in midfield in some parts of the season but hopefully Saturday game will show us what Everton will be expecthing from themselfs this fort coming campain.

Everton hold Dutch champs to draw.

Most of the Everton first team squad started the last pre-season match before the new campain starts next saturday.Once again the young and promising Gosling and Rodwell getting starts in the Everton starting 11.Everton started off as the better side with Yakubu creating plenty of chances. But it was the Dutch side who took the led 13 minutes from time.It was Nordin Amranat who put the Dutch champions ahead with a fierce shot from the edge of the area which had Tim Howard wll beaten.

Just minutes fom half time Arteta wipped in a cross which Rodwell was on the end of to header it which was tipped over the crossbar by former Man City keeper Isaksson. After the break David Moyes switched Gosling for Lescott. This change was a tatical change by the Scot`s man h put Lscott into centre back andpushed jagielka into midfield alongside the promising talent of Rodwell.Rodwell was later removed for a young and promising talent of Joe Baxter the 16 year olds first senior apperance at Goodison Park.

With only 20 minutes to go The Toffees were pushing for a goal and got there chance when yobo won the home side a penalty with 15 minutes to go Arteta stood up and calmly placed the ball in the bottom right corner to earn the blues a well deserved draw.

Away Jersey

Everton's new away kit is available to buy from Friday. The Toffees will be sporting a white shirt with a two thin bands - navy and grey - going from shoulder to shoulder. The kit is completed by navy shorts and socks.Everton will be using navy numbers and letters on our away shirt this season, rather than black as in previous years. RELEASED ON FRIDAY.

Moyes Speak More Bout Transfers.

David Moyes has spokin out about his fustration and dissapointment in the lack of new squad members for the coming campain. His determintion is still showing that he has not giving up on bringing in new squad members before the start of the new season.Moyes told Evertonfc.com that its been a great tour and good experience for the players but also a little dissapointing that he doesnt have new sqaud members with him to get them use to the way the play and get to know the lads before the campain starts.

The main dissapointment for David Moyes is the fact that its not one single player he is looking for its a few and its getting closer and closer to the start of the new season and there still no new faces at Goodison Park. Also on Moysey mind he is wondering if they players do arrive at the club would they be ready for the premier leauge and they way they play and then how long those it take for a player to settle and get full potential out off him.

Moyes took nothing away from the lads who beat Rapids 2-1 yesterday and said it was a well earned win and fully deserved he said he was delighted to see the lads back to winning ways and how well they played in the first 15mins he was espeically happy to see Osman and Mikel getting a goal each as of always goals need to be coming from midfield aswell and not just the strikers.Moyes has 11 days till the new season and lets just hope he does the smart thing and buy sensible players and not just blow it all on a one hit wonder.

Osman Snacthes Late Win For The Blues..

Everton picked up there first win on there American tour against Colorado Rapids with a goal from Leon Osman with 3mins to go.Everton had nine first team players starting with two of the up and coming young lads getting a run[Gosling,Rodwell].After Everton poor peformance against Chicago Fire they were eager to get off to a good start and that they did.It was the Arteta show the cravty midfielder who got the action underway when he brust through the midfield and then unleashing a shot from the edge of the area and had the America keeper well beaten.

This is exactly wat Everton wanted a nice early goal to sit on but Colorado Rapids responed diffrently and not as Everton suspected they continued to cause mounts of pressure on the Everton back line and nearly got there reward when Conor Casey close range header was parred away by Howard.Second half got of the a start like the first Conor Casey once again getting a chance at goal when yobo failed to clear a cross and Casey was there to pull his team level.

Everton were now back to square one and had to work harder for there win.Once again Peinaar was the centre attention at the heart of the midfield he was picking out passes left right and centre.Peinaar was at it again pulling the stings in midfield he pulled back a pass for Leon Osman who some how hit it straight at the keeper from six yards chance gone begging with vital time ticking away. But Osman made up for his earlyer mistake with three minutes to go Neville started one final attack feed the ball down the right the the promising talent of Jose Baxter with showed plenty of composure to delightfully square the ball for Leon Osman to tap home from six yards.Lets just hope the form continues.Next Game 9th August PSV 17:15 (H).

Moyes Not Leaving The Toffees

Lately there has been speculation over the futher of David Moyes at the club. But today Moyes has told Evertonfc.com that he has no wish to leave the club anytime soon.Speaking to Evertonfc.com Moyes stated “I am here and intend to see the job through. We have great expectations and I hope that I am able to fulfil them.

Moyesy also stated how he is hoping to try get the squad together within the next week and try to discuss the expectations for the new campain ahead which starts in 2 weeks. He also stated how he needs to make the team stronger and bigger if there going to challenge for bigger things this year.

Moyes also stated he will not just bring a player in for the sake of it he needs to make three or four main players that will cost big money if he wants to challenge for things in the coming campain. In my opinion i dont see Everton make more than two quailty signings because as moyes stated “We need to bring in better players now to try and help the squad. But we don’t have bundles of cash.”

Johnson Packing His Bags For London?

Early this week Everton agreed a deal with Fulham for Andrew Johnson. The striker has been giving permission to discuss personal terms about his move the Cravan Cottage club. All that now stands in the English man`s way is agreeing personal terms and to pass a medical.

The English man was left out of the Everton squad for there trip to America.Johson who was Everton record signing when they bought him for £8.6million in 2006 he was a first team regular at the toffee club and will proply be mostly remembered for his two goals in the local derby against Liverpool.

Since the signing of Yakubu last year Johnson has struggled to hold a regular first team spot at Goddison Park. And has proply decided for his best intrest as a footballer it is time to move on for another challenge. In his two years at Goodison Park he made 74 appearance and scored 22 goals.
